System Administrators: Bangalore

 Experience:                  Min 4 Years.

 

Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; can configure NFS and NIS, Win 2000 & Linux (Red Hat) domains; understands basic routing concepts. Exposure to Check Point, VPN, Sonicwall, VOIP a Plus.

 

Experience with knowledge of installing, implementing and administration of Windows & Linux based servers. Understanding of the issues involved in developing a mixed TCP/IP, Linux, particularly one using only TCP/IP protocols on LANs for client/server communications as well as for WAN communications. Ensures the existence and maintenance of server configurations and core system services software, altering them as required to conform to system and network requirements defined by department management. MSCE, Cisco Certification a Plus.

 

OVERALL GOALS

To create the most effective technological environment for the production of the work and to provide pro-active advise to management on the continuous improvement of systems and hardware in the offices. The responsibilities of network administration are to be shared with assisting project teams.

 

FOCUS AREAS

Hardware Support - Ability to handle minor technical problems for example: log in, printers, networking, scanners etc. This should be handled in a hands on way but strong coordination and efficient use of outside consultants is key.

 

Software Support - Should have proactive curiosity for new software and hardware and keep up with the latest trends while being patient enough to thoroughly test everything prior to roll out.

Human Support - Must be empathetic and patient and a good people person who is able to handle the variety of personalities, and the petty questions that come up, with poise. Must show sufficient enthusiasm and rigor towards right" practices so that the staff is motivated and disciplined towards following the office standards.

 

Office Standards - Must be motivated to make use of free time to develop long term office standards, macros, etc. to increase consistency along with productivity. Should be strong at developing reports, writing procedures so that this information can be effectively communicated. Must be a true champion of standards and be committed to getting the whole staff on board. Should be willing to randomly audit files for adherence on a periodic basis.

Compensation:             Base Salary + Night Shift Allowance + Holiday Compensation
